Coco Palm Beach Resort ★★★

Coco Palm Beach Hotel on Samui is a great place to stay if you like original Thai hotels and don't expect a 5 star resort. Good middle class bungalows, simple but clean. Everything you need is in the complex. Worth mentioning are all the employees in all areas who always have a smile on their faces, just like you know from Thailand. There is a restaurant, a VSR and a delicious breakfast buffet. there is always something for everyone. Nearby is massage, delicious restaurants and a mini market. It's about a 2 km walk to the main street or you can rent a scooter directly opposite the hotel. You can get a scooter for around eight euros a day. Depending on how long the rental period is. There are plenty of sun loungers on the hotel's beach, which are also complemented by loungers by the pool. The pool is large enough, but only suitable for swimmers. Children can go swimming there with water wings and adults can also go swimming. There are enough shaded areas on the beach and also by the pool. Parasols, among other things, also ensure this. Each bungalow has a terrace where you can sit in peace in the evenings. And because the hotel is the fair pier where you can go to the neighboring island for around twelve euros. It's definitely worth taking a day trip there. The bar also sometimes has happy hour where they offer cocktails for half the price. This is highly recommended. The food in the restaurant is good. It's a bit more expensive than outside. But the relationship is still normal in the restaurant. There are electric shuttles in the complex that can take you from the entrance to your bungalow. There is no charge for it, but the driver is always happy to receive a little tip. Just like all the other employees who do their best every day, everyone is happy about a few baht/euro tips. The dogs in the complex are all very friendly. You still shouldn't feed her. We were in the complex for three weeks and took a close look at Ko Samui.

Great beach, good breakfast selection. Friendly staff, egg chef could certainly crack eggs but smiles seemed more difficult... Good quiet location, clean rooms, towels and linen changed regularly.

Accommodation was a little too basic, no storage space, had to live out of suitcases on the floor. Shower was very weak, no hot water in wash hand basin.

The property is beautiful and clean. Staff were really friendly und the food was also good.

The property is a little further away from the center. But easy to get to with a motorcycle.

It was the perfect place for our 1 night stay before travelling up to Koh Tao. I diid order a basic room and I suspect that the bigger rooms are much better. I would not wish to have a complete holiday there but I cannot fault the treatment we received from the staff.

A kettle would have been nice - I like my morning cup of tea.

It’s a clean property and in the old phuket location , the area around is beautful on a weekend and if u r into running 2 kms south from the hotel is a place dedicated for running and many travellers and locals can be seen running and exercising .

It doesn’t have a fitness club .

Nice bungalows in a tropical garden at beach-front!

The food selection was not great and it was quite expensive. breakfast was every morning the same (eggs, fruits and toast). But I think it has to do with a low amount of people due to coronavirus pandemic.

We stayed at the Coco Palm Beach resort for 3 days at the end of September, and we loved every minute of it! First, the resort is directly on the lovely Mae Nam beach, close to the pier and a short walk from Mae Nam village amenities, temples, markets and coffee shops. Both the resort and Mae Nam beach and village have a laid back and kind vibe, so much better than being in the tourist bubble of Chaweng! You can enjoy beautiful walks at dawn down the long beach, watching fishermen at work and swimming in the nicely deep water. The resort is immersed in a beautiful garden, which can be enjoyed both from the very nice swimming pool and from your room terrace. The bungalows are a bit on the 'older' side, but all in all they are still well kept, comfortable and cosy; we loved also that you have some space and privacy between your bungalow and the next one. Last but not least, Coco Palm Beach resort is a special place because of its kind and hardworking staff, who made us really felt welcomed and supported throughout our stay. They also provided an additional cot for the mattress (we slept really well!) and helped us with arranging car rental. Many thanks to all the staff for their professionalism in these difficult times! As other reviews have mentioned, there are a few village dogs that sometimes passed by for a visit; it is to be ascribed to the staff (and Thai people at large) compassion and kindness that these dogs are not aggressively pushed or kept away, and we have a lot of respect for that. Besides, these village dogs are similarly kind and they behave nicely, and they won't approach you unless you have something to share with them (food or love, or both!). Also, we didn't hear any barking at night. The food prepared by the restaurant was simple and delicious; it was made more special by the beautiful views on the gulf and the nice sea breeze :)

Everything was good; maybe a little improvement could be to add some variety to the breakfast set options, including some more vegetarian options. But this is only a minor comment; as said, we loved our stay at this hotel and we hope to come back soon

Ideal location to commute from koh tao. pool looked really nice, a few different breakfast options, great bike rental service with really good mopeds. comfy room, staff very polite and friendly.

the shower didnt work properly , very difficult to get to run hot, and when did warm up it went too hot. the slice of ham and cheese and the type of sausage shouldnt be on a fried breakfast :)
